PUTTING THE QUILT TOGETHER

All Straight Seams

You now have the perfect design and you are ready to sew it together. Because you sewed half-hexagons and pinned them together to form whole hexagons, you can easily remove those pins and sew columns or rows to make long strips. Note that these are all straight seams, since you are just sewing one triangle to the next.

Sew the half-hexagons into rows or columns. These are small seams, just sewing one triangle to the next. The points of the seam allowances should line up and the notch is the ¼˝ seamline. Press the seams open.
